Breathing exercise – Nadi Shodhana

Nadi Shodhana or Alternate Nostril Breath is meant to increase the flow of oxygen into your bloodstream, allowing for a refreshing sensation as well as increasing clarity. It is said to balance the activity in your brain hemispheres and calming the nervous system. If you are new to this practice, please find our introductory video first, read our article about why breathing techniques are beneficial and/or talk to your health professional or yoga teacher if you are unsure. Always proceed with care and don’t force anything.
